We ran leave-one-out cross-validation across all 982 accessions in our training set — refitting the model 982 times, holding out each accession, and testing whether it correctly identifies its own home climate as better-adapted than random alternatives. It succeeded 79.8% of the time (p < 10⁻⁷⁰, Wilcoxon signed-rank) — a result this extreme is not plausible by chance.
